Hosted by Trevor Noah, the 2024 Grammy Awards will be broadcast live on CBS from the Crypto.com Arena in Los Angeles. Mitchell has garnered a nomination for Best Folk Album at this year’s Grammys for her live recording, “Joni Mitchell at Newport.” With a remarkable career that spans decades, Mitchell has secured nine competitive Grammy wins, starting in 1970 with the Best Folk Performance award for “Clouds” and most recently in 2022 for Best Historical Album with “Archives, Vol. 1: The Early Years (1963-1967).”

After making a notable appearance at the Kennedy Center Honors in 2021, Mitchell’s return to the Grammy stage in 2022 marked a significant comeback following a health setback with a brain aneurysm in 2015. Her victory was celebrated as she, alongside Bonnie Raitt, introduced Brandi Carlile’s performance at the 2022 Grammys. A few months later, Mitchell made headlines by joining Carlile and other artists for a memorable performance at the Newport Folk Festival. The subsequent year saw Mitchell headlining a show at the Gorge Amphitheatre in Washington, solidifying her enduring presence in the music scene.
