Costco earlier this month, the trend was pink Stanley cups, but now the spotlight has shifted to floor mirrors, and not just any floor mirror. Keen-eyed shoppers recently discovered a mirror at Costco that bears a striking resemblance to one being sold at the upscale retailer Anthropologie, but with a significantly lower price tag.

Anthropologie’s Luisa Mirror, priced at $1,198, boasts dimensions of 72½ inches in height, 34¾ inches in width, and 2½ inches in depth. The ornate mirror is adorned with delicate hummingbirds and gilded flowers, as described on the retailer’s website.
The buzz around the Costco mirror escalated on social media, particularly on TikTok. @costcohotfinds, a self-proclaimed “Costco obsessed mom” with 1.5 million followers, shared a video showcasing the Ravena Floor Mirror priced at $149.99. The mirror, measuring 30”W x 65”H, quickly sold out at many locations, prompting eager shoppers to hunt for remaining stock.

TikTok followers shared updates on mirror availability and tips for securing one, with some suggesting calling local stores as the mirror might not appear in the Costco app. The Krazy Coupon Lady site recommended contacting local Costco stores for specific details about item number 1695517.
Simultaneously, it was noted that Sam’s Club also had its own version of the mirror, the Azalea Park Filigree Floor Mirror priced at $149.98, with followers expressing preferences for one over the other.
Someone please explain to me why someone would pay even $150.00 for a mirror that sits on the floor?

Despite the media coverage in outlets like Parade, Fox Business, and the New York Post, neither Anthropologie, Costco, nor Sam’s Club has commented on the situation.
However, not everyone is impressed by the viral mirror craze. Some social media users questioned the value of spending even $150 on a floor mirror, while others debated the resemblance between different Anthropologie mirrors and questioned the newsworthiness of the phenomenon.
